You don’t necessarily have to be an expert at it, however you need to understand it so you can make sure you are effectively getting your message out there or achieving some decent ROI if you outsource this.
Whether you do your own marketing or outsource it externally, if it’s not hitting the mark then you are probably not meeting all the elements of this marketing triangle. The 3 core elements of marketing are: Market, Message and Media. Neither side is more important than the other however if you are missing one side then your marketing campaign will not work.
